Driving question: "How do the respiratory, circulatory, nervous, and muscular subsystems interact dynamically to maintain cellular homeostasis when the human body transitions from rest to physical exercise?" Objective: Students will measure heart rate, breathing rate, and calculated cardiac output across five activity levels, model the sensory feedback loop between muscles and the brain, and construct an evidence-based argument for how body subsystems interact.

What's inside: objective and background, a materials list (Stopwatch or digital laboratory timer…; Pulse oximeter or manual radial pulse…; Metronome or step-test platform for…; Organ System Interaction Flowchart Mat…), an 8-step protocol, a data table, 4 analysis questions, and teacher notes.

Resource type: Interactive Simulation (.docx). Format: editable Microsoft Word lab handout with approximately 830 words (~5 pages).
